Meade's Sky Assurance Plans extend the factory's one year warranty to a total period of either 3 or 5 years. For the larger & more expensive models of telescopes, we highly recommend the "Three Way Shipping Option". All servicing of these telescopes is done in Meade's California Facility. Meade's regular warranty does not cover the cost of returning your telescope to the factory. In the event servicing is needed, your shipping costs can be quite considerable with a large telescope. When you purchase the "Three way shipping option" of your extended warranty, you avoid this expense. In most instances it will more than pay for itself if the telescope needs to go back even once. If your telescope requires servicing under the the way shipping plan you will: 1. A brand new box/shipping carton will be sent to you from Meade - now you no longer have to keep that big box around just in case! 2. Meade will pay for the return shipping to the factory. 3.
